Lynn has been teaching in the Tyler Area for the last 35 years and has gained the reputation of being a teacher with strong Christian values and a respect for her profession.

Lynn is married to King Ramey, owner of Razzmataz Dancewear Store.  They have a 27 year old son, Archer, who graduated Baylor Law School and a 25 year old daughter, Joy, that also grduated from Baylor University.  Lynn and King are members at Grace Community Church in Tyler.





Renee' Allen - Instructor

Renee’ is entering her 19th year as a teacher with Dance-N-Drill.  Renee’ started with Mrs. Lynn 35 years ago as a member of the first “Tyler Golden Girls” team.

Renee’ is the Director of the Dance-N-Drill Dancers, Junior Jazz Competition Team, Youth, Junior and Senior Contemporary Teams and Junior and Senior “Extreme” Hip Hop Teams, Assistant Director for the “Tyler Golden Girls” as well as Head Coach for the D-N-D “Flyers” All-Star Cheer Teams

Renee’ has been married 27 years to her husband Jack and they live in Whitehouse, Tx.  They have a 21 year old son Jackson who attends Northwestern State University majoring in Criminal Justice/History and Foreign Languages. The Allen's attend the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception in Tyler.

Maddie is an outging, hard-working student studying kinesiology in hopes to be a physical education teacher and dance/drill team director.

I grew up playing many sports: soccer, volleyball, basketball, and softball

Took Gymnastics for 5 years 

Cheered for 5 years (All-Star and High School Cheerleading)

Coached gymnastics for several years. I loved working with children and watching them grow in the sport I love.

I’m so excited to join Dance-N-Drill as a Preschool Tumble Coach and

an assistant coach for the D-N-D Flyers All-Star Cheerleaders. 


Tara Hargrove - Instructor



.Tara attended Tyler Junior College where she was a member of the Apache Belles. With the Apache Belles, she traveled and performed in New York, Hawaii and China. 

Tara is beginning her 12th year as the Grace Pom Squad Director and 7th year as the Grace Varsity Cheer Coach. Tara also served as the Cougarette Director from 2015-2018. 

Tara has taught and assisted classes at Dance-N-Drill for the past 18 years. Tara and her husband, Justin Hargrove, have been married 12 years. They attend Green Acres Baptist Church and are the proud parents of two Toy Australian Shepherds, Murphy and Rowdy. 

Tara & Justin are excited to begin their 3rd season of Kona Ice. They have thoroughly enjoyed this adventure and are looking forward to a great season.

Olivia Johnson - Instructor

Olivia started her dance career with Dance-N-Drill when she was in fifth grade. From hip hop to kick, Golden Girls, tap, and more her eight years as a Dance-N-Drill student were filled with wonderful memories and inspirational teachers.
Olivia attended Bullard High School where she was a member of the Bullard Belles drill team for three years. Two of those years, she served as an officer.
After graduating high school, Olivia danced with the internationally famous Tyler Junior College Apache Belles where she served as a Dance Captain her sophomore year. While dancing at TJC, Olivia assisted classes and teams at Dance-N-Drill.

After graduating from TJC, Olivia studied Elementary Education at Texas A&M University. Never forgetting her roots, Olivia will be joining the staff of Dance-N-Drill this year. She is so excited and expectant for how the Lord will use her and guide her on this journey.


Yayoi Jones - Instructor

This is Yayoi's 10th year as the Director of the Wings Ballet Company

Masters Degree - Master of Science in kinesiology, University of Texas at Tyler

 Graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance

Attends numereous dance intensives and conventions including Noble Motion Dance summer intensive in Houtson, SHSU dance convention and Dance Revolution at DFW

Has taught College level dance at Tyler Junior College for the past 4 years

Started classical ballet dance at Wakabayashi Ballet School, Japan at the age of 3

Her ballet repertoire in “The Nutcracker” – including Arabian, Russian, Snow, Waltz of the Flowers, and Dew Drop.  Other ballets include “Pas De Quatre”, “Coppelia”, Raymonda”, “Swan lake”, “Giselle”, Sleeping Beauty”, and “Don Quixote”

Former company member with Kista Tucker Danced Company and Houston and Sam Houston State University Dance Company 

Studied Graham, Horton, Alexander techniques, Bartenieff Fundamentals of modern dance and Laban Movement Analysis. Also classical trained in the Cecchetti and Russian method of ballet.

Performed nationally in venues such as State University of New York at Brockport, The Carrier Theater in Syracuse, University at Buffalo, Dallas Museum of Art and The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts in Houston, among others  

Former choreographer and assistant director for Tyler Junior College dance productions, 2008-2011

Guest choreographer for TJC theatre musical production of Chicago, 2011

Choreographed and trained many competition soloists who won championships in national and regional titles


Yayoi and her husband Michael have been married for 10 years.  They have a 7 year old daughter, Yuki, that is a second grader at Jack Elementary and a 4 year old son named Kenji, who attends Hand-in-Hand preschool, and a brand new baby girl!!




Maggie Koehn - Instructor

Maggie Williams Koehn is in her third season as the 

UT Tyler head spirit squad coach.

A Tyler, Texas native, Coach Maggie is a Baylor University graduate where she was on the Baylor Co-Ed Cheer Team for four years. She served as a team captain on the cheer team while pursuing a degree in Graphic Design. She also has earned a Masters of Science in College Student Personnel online from Arkansas Tech University and currently is apart of Abilene Christian University’s organizational leadership, a doctoral program emphasizing in higher education. 

She grew up dancing at Dance-N-Drill and danced and cheered for 12 years and transitioned out of dance and into competitive cheer. That is where she ultimately fell in love with cheering. Her journey to cheer at the collegiate level started then and she has never looked back whether it be continuing to cheer at the professional level or coach and inspire others to do the same.

She is newly married to Stephen Koehn. Together they have the sweetest rescue puppy, Rylie. They both love the Lord so much and enjoy working with people of all ages to become more comfortable in both their own skin whether it be skills and/or fitness.

Gayla Morrison - Instructor

Gayla teaches Musical Theatre at Dance-N-Drill.  She has taught the performing arts for over 30+ years in the East Texas area. She has a Master of Interdisciplinary Studies (Music, Theatre, Art) and Bachelor of General Studies with an emphasis in Business from UT-Tyler.  

She participated in several Tyler Civic Theatre Summer Musicals including Lil Abner, Sound of Music, Bye, Bye, Birdie, FOOTLOOSE! and HAIRSPRAY. She was the stage manager for "Pollyanna" as well as a S.T.A.R. summer camp instructor.  She enjoys 'building a character' and Ernestina Money in the Pollard Spring Musical "Hello Dolly" was her favorite character to portray.  She knows all aspects of theatre including set-building, prop creation, choreography, blocking, staging, costuming, hair and makeup.  She has directed UIL One Act Plays and numerous short plays for the stage. Her favorite collaborative effort was co-directing the musical by Rodger's and Hammertein, "Oklahoma!" 


Gayla judges local and state twirling/dance competitions and has trained many contestants for pageants, acting auditions and majorette tryouts.  She enjoys teaching twirling in her spare time and is the former owner of Twirl-N-Whirl Baton and Dance Studio in Whitehouse. She loves her job as a public relations representative and is thrilled to be on the staff of Dance-N-Drill.  .

Beth Pierce - Instructor

Beth is thrilled to be back at Dance-N-Drill after being gone for 6 years, this time as a teacher!

Beth started at Dance-N-Drill at the age of four and continued her training there for 11 years, becoming a member of the Wings Ballet Company and the Tyler Golden Girls. 


She moved to Oklahoma in 2012 where she continued her dance training, and began teaching dance in 2015. She is incredibly grateful to God who led her back to Tyler earlier this year and opened the door for her to teach at her home dance studio, a dream job she's had since she was four! 



Nida Priest - Instructor

I've been teaching Barre at Dance-N-Drill since I moved to Tyler from Waco four years ago.

Helping people reach strength and flexibility goals they didn't think they were capable of is what motivates me to teach.

Outside of teaching, I work full time and my husband and I have two active kids who keep us on the go.


Mikayla Russell - Instructor

Mikayla has been with Dance-N-Drill for the past 16 years

She has been an assistant teacher for the past 5 years.

Mikayla is thrilled to be instructing the cheer classes for her second year teaching.

She has been the Assistant Coach for the D-N-D Flyers All-Star Cheerleaders for 5 years.  I was honored to also be a member of the D-N-D Flyers All- Star Cheer Teams for 7 years. 

She was a member of the Dance-N-Drill “Extreme” Hip Hop Team for 7 years.

She is currently attending the University of Texas at Tyler to get her degree in education.

She plans on getting her Masters in Special Education.



Jamie Tschirhart - Instructor

Jaime is excited about returning to Dance-N-Drill after being gone for 7 years.

She grew up in Tyler and was a former Golden Girl and Dance-N-Drill Dancer.

Jaime was also a Robert E Lee Southern Belle Southern Belle member.

She graduated from Stephen F. Austin with a Bachelors in Family and Consumer Science (2001)

Jaime also worked at T Bar M Camps in New Braunfels on the Timothy Team (2001-2002)

Aleisha Ward - Instructor

I am a Tyler native and All Saints' alum with competitive and recreational cheer and gymnastics experience. After high school I was awarded the experience of cheering at the collegiate level when I made the squad as a freshman at the University of North Texas. Since my years there, life has brought me back to Tyler where I am pursuing a nursing degree, working in emergency medical services and raising two daughters. With 20 years of tumbling experience it is with great pleasure that I join the Dance N Drill family!
